Timekeeping is the work after the work.
What we’ve heard from the attorneys we build with:
- Reconstructing the week from memory, call logs and email.
- Notes on a legal pad that never make it into the system.
- Quick calls and emails that never get logged at all.
Install it. Forget it. Approve your time.
Doric Time runs quietly in the background and stays out of your way.
SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK
COUNTY OF NEW YORK
MEMORANDUM OF LAW IN SUPPORT OF
DEFENDANT’S MOTION TO DISMISS
Plaintiff’s theory rests on a reading of section 9.2 that the agreement itself forecloses.
Approved entries go straight into Clio, MyCase or PracticePanther.
For work Doric can’t see, like court or a call on your cell, log it with one shortcut or a tap on your phone.
Built to protect client confidentiality.
- Never reads your documents, email, keystrokes or screen.
- Client names become codes on your computer, and your firm holds the key.
- Nothing is billed until you approve it.

Frequently asked questions
How it works
Does it replace our billing software?
No. Doric drafts your entries, and approved ones go straight into the billing system you already use. Built for Clio, MyCase and PracticePanther.
What if it gets the matter wrong?
Every entry is a draft until you approve it. When Doric isn’t sure which matter you’re working on, it asks instead of guessing.
What devices does it run on?
Built for Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android.
Privacy and security
Does it see client documents?
No. Doric never reads document or email content. It sees which file or app you’re working in and for how long, never what’s inside.
Who can see my time entries?
Only you, until you approve them. Partners see approved entries and any flags, never your activity record.
Where is data stored?
In the US. Client names are replaced with codes on your own computer first, and your firm holds the key. AI providers keep nothing: zero retention and no training, by contract.
Can we turn off AI for a specific client?
Yes. For any client who says no, Doric records time only and drafts nothing with AI.
Getting started
What’s in the free efficiency audit?
A one-page report on your firm’s recent weeks: hours of work with no time entry, and how long each type of task takes against your usual range. It uses your billing records and email and calendar activity, never document or email content, and nothing is installed.
How long does setup take?
About 15 minutes per lawyer. Your IT contact approves read-only access once, and we handle the rest.
What happens after the free month?
You decide whether to continue. If you stop, we delete your firm’s data and confirm it in writing.
To columns
Law firms were built like pyramids.
We’re turning them into columns.
For generations, law firms have been structured the same way, with a few partners at the top and a large team handling the routine work that keeps a firm running.
That’s changing. AI agents can now take on that routine work so lawyers can spend their time in court and with their clients.
We named Doric after the simplest of the classical columns, built for support, not decoration. Small firms hold up the legal economy. We’re here to hold them up.
Our mission is to automate their operations so they can earn more and serve their clients even better, and to inspire more lawyers to start and scale firms of their own.
